Nice to meet you! My name is Uwa, and I am excited to be your new travel expert! My first time traveling was at the age of twelve, when I flew without the accompaniment of an adult from Nigeria to Oman - an experience that changed the course of my life forever.

 

That’s not to say it was easy! I was young, new to traveling, alone, and flying to a country where I did not speak or understand the language - but I knew then something that I have learned time and time again over my years of travel since - Travel is healing.

 

Travel is not simply a fun vacation saved for rainy days or an escape from the mundane, travel is a knowledge experience. It creeps up on you - the people you meet, the things you learn - and over time I discovered how true courage comes from exposing yourself to the world around you!

 

While you cannot truly achieve anything from a broken place, the real key is in the wisdom that comes from stepping outside of your fear. I believe in consciously choosing and seeking out what does not interest me, as I have found that in discovering the why, I also discover more of myself. Although I was certainly bit with the travel bug when I was young I truly discovered my love for travel & experiencing the world when I received my diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management, and worked within the industry for over 5 years.

 

I am now a full time entrepreneur, I own and manage ULO mobile spa over 4 years  in  Calgary Canada, a business that allows me travel and earn at the same time.
